As we were sitting around tonight, reading books, preparing for Joshua's bedtime, Steve was flipping channels and came upon the Wizard of Oz. Joshua first took notice as Dorothy sang "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and he waved to Toto sitting next to her.
But time stood still when the Munchkins appeared and the songs began.
We realized TCM wasn't cutting to commercial, so we had to make the break. Needless to say, it wasn't pretty. We told him it would be on tomorrow.....so I guess we'll be hitting the DVD section pretty soon!

I know! I wanted to buy it for Clara but can't find it anywhere. Apparently it's not available until 9/29/09. They are coming out with a 70th Anniversary Edition.

In the meantime we are going to try to catch it on TV and I am taking Clara to the Orpheum for the Summer Movie series. Wish you were here to go with us!: )
